This is my Entry for the Flora Museum Challenge
Inspired by The Temple of Dendur from The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Open Access collection, I wanted to explore what lies beyond the museum experience. Instead of reimagining the monument itself, I chose to build the world around it, following one of the challenge prompts.
The project begins in a future interpretation of The Met, where visitors approach the Temple of Dendur as a preserved historical monument. As the camera moves through the temple's entrance, the museum gradually disappears, transporting the viewer back to ancient Egypt. On the other side of the doorway, the temple is no longer an artifact—it is alive. Craftsmen carve monumental sandstone sculptures, artisans shape intricate reliefs and hieroglyphs, and the surrounding landscape reflects the world in which the temple originally existed.
Built entirely in FLORA through iterative image and video exploration, this project imagines the temple not as an object separated from history, but as a living place filled with people, craftsmanship, and purpose.
