Traduciendo CardiologĆa para IA: Por quĆ© "Heart Failure" NO es "Fallo CardĆaco" en LATAM
Los traductores generales traducen "Heart Failure" como "Fallo CardĆaco".
En los Ćŗltimos 3 meses en el proyecto de Texas A&M University / Outlier AI revisĆ© mĆ”s de 500 casos de cardiologĆa EN > ES LATAM.
Un pequeƱo cambio de palabra, una gran diferencia en precisiĆ³n clĆnica.
En LATAM, en contexto clĆnico real, el 90% de los cardiĆ³logos decimos "Insuficiencia CardĆaca".
Otros 3 errores que rompen un modelo de IA mƩdica:
"Stroke" no es "Accidente". Es "Accidente Cerebrovascular" o "Ictus".
"Stent" no se traduce. Se deja "stent".
"Screening" no es siempre "Tamizaje". En MĆ©xico y Argentina usamos mĆ”s "DetecciĆ³n oportuna" o "Cribado".
La IA necesita localizaciĆ³n, no traducciĆ³n literal.

Currently finishing my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Global Perspectives & Practices at Morgan State (Fancy language for two focuses under Business Administration. December 2027 grad ā almost there!). I'm looking to connect on data-driven, admin support, and creative director.
