Building a School Management System — What Do You Think of the Dashboard?
I've been working on an upcoming school management system, and this is a preview of the loading page, teacher and admin dashboard.
The goal isn't just to cram every school feature into one interface.
An administrator should be able to open the dashboard and quickly understand what's happening:
→ How many students and staff are active → Class distribution → Attendance → Today's timetable → Recent system activity → Quick access to admissions, academics, users, fees and other operations
I'm also building a separate experience for students, with the interface and information tailored to what they actually need.
For the design, I'm deliberately going for something clean, structured and practical rather than an overly flashy dashboard.
I'd love to hear from other developers, designers and product people:
What do you think of the direction?
Would you change anything about the layout, information hierarchy, navigation or visual design?
And if you were building a dashboard for a school, what information would you want to see immediately after logging in?
