Commercial insurance runs on speed and clarity. This client had neither.

A Canadian brokerage in aviation and SME insurance. Onboarding meant long forms and the same details typed twice. Underwriting stayed manual because carrier integrations were limited. Forms, CRM and bookkeeping all lived in different tools.

The brief wasn't to digitize the paperwork. It was to reduce the effort.

What we built: → A guided onboarding flow: pick a coverage, then choose an AI estimate or enter details manually → AI prefilling that reads an uploaded policy and fills applicant, aircraft and coverage fields, every one still editable before submission → AI underwriting estimates that give the team an early read on a submission → A customer dashboard with real-time status, so nobody has to call and ask where their application is → An admin side for quotes, policies, clients and roles, plus product management for building new coverages and the questions each one asks

Stack: React, serverless backend, PostgreSQL, AWS and S3, magic-link auth with role-based access, dynamic PDFs and e-signing, automated email workflows.

The platform ends up doing two jobs at once. It runs the workflow, and it supports the decision.
