Fauna Digitalis: A Field Guide to the Creatures of the Digital Age
I found 5 animal illustrations on Flickr: sepia plates with fine hatching, cream paper, and the calm authority of a Victorian naturalist. I trained a Recraft V4 Style on them and asked it to document species no 19th-century naturalist could have imagined. The result is Fauna Digitalis, a field guide to the wildlife of modern life. Old ink, new animals.

For this challenge, I explored the rich artistic heritage of 17th-century Mughal Miniature Paintings from The Met Museum's public domain archive. I created a custom Recraft Style called 'Mughal Tech' to blend this historic art style with modern digital tools. The series showcases a creative collision where Mughal royalty and soldiers interact with unexpected modern technology like AirPods, smartphones, E-scooters, and food delivery systems, maintaining a unified visual aesthetic throughout the collection.
The Unnatural History of Tomorrow
An illustrated archive of mechanical species
What if a naturalist from the 19th century discovered the technology of tomorrow?
This creative project transforms futuristic technology into extraordinary mechanical species, combining antique botanical illustration, scientific engraving, and speculative design.
From mechanical dragonflies to botanical-inspired devices, each artwork explores the unexpected relationship between historical illustration and imagined future technology.

What if the future had been imagined a century ago?
I’m exploring the fascinating intersection of vintage science-fiction art and futuristic technology for the Recraft × Contra Design Challenge.
Inspired by antique illustrations, forgotten inventions, and surreal planetary landscapes, I’m developing “THE UNDISCOVERED FUTURE” — a fictional archive where yesterday’s artistic imagination meets tomorrow’s possibilities.
The goal is to transform a historical visual language into something unexpected, cohesive, and entirely new.
Sometimes, the most interesting vision of the future comes from looking into the past.
