My first Webflow project paid me 25,000 PKR. Roughly $85. For a full website build.
I told myself it was fine. First project. Build the portfolio. Raise rates later.
Later kept getting pushed further away.
Project after project, low budgets, high quality, same clients going elsewhere for bigger work.
Then an agency hired me at a higher rate. Halfway through the build, I realized something.
I was doing the exact same work. Same quality. Same process. Same attention to detail.
The only thing that had changed was the number on the invoice.
That was the moment it clicked.
I wasn't undercharging because the market couldn't pay more. I was undercharging because I hadn't decided I was worth more yet.
Today I charge $1,000 for a landing page.
Same hands. Same skills. Very different mindset.
