Workflow Explanation – Part 1 | Maji Ndogo Water Project
In this first part of the Maji Ndogo Water Project, I focused on understanding the data and ensuring its accuracy. Here’s what I did:
Understand the Data – Reviewed water source types (rivers, wells, shared/home taps, broken taps) and noted safe vs. high-risk sources.
Identify Anomalies in Queue Times – Flagged visits where people waited over 8 hours to spot access issues or data errors.
Check Water Quality Records – Found invalid revisits where perfect scores appeared multiple times; only shared taps should have repeats.
Detect Dangerous Data Errors – Verified well contamination data; corrected mislabeled “Clean” entries where biological measurements indicated contamination.
