I think there is a lot of potential here with Contra, but Contra will have to up their game a little. One of the suggestions that I have for the platform is instead of focusing on building a platform where freelancers onboard their clients, they become a marketplace where clients can find freelancers and hire them.
Sounds like upwork and fiverr, right? Well, not really. This platform has a unique feature that other freelancing platforms don't have, content. Freelancers come here to post about stuff and build their personal brand. That personal brand will help clients select and hire the perfect freelancers for their project. But for this to happen, Contra will have to port away from "freelancers will find their clients and we will onboard them" to "we will find clients for them and onboard clients on our platform".
Paid for Contra Pro today. Big hopes, zero guarantees 😄
Goal for the next 30 days: land my first client on Contra, built on real work and real conversations in the community.
So I'm curious what you think 👇
Is Contra Pro worth it for a freelancer who is still looking for the first clients?
A) Yes, worth it
B) Not yet
C) Depends on your niche
D) Ask me in 30 days 😄
Drop your letter in the comments and tell me why.

I'm Christianah ( Tiana ), a WordPress developer and web designer. I build and redesign websites for healthcare practices, law firms, real estate, home services and nonprofits, mostly with Elementor and WooCommerce.
After years of freelancing, I'm finally setting up shop on Contra, and the community here is a big reason why.
So I'll start with a question for the people who've been here a while:
What's one thing you wish you knew in your first month on Contra?
It might be of help to other new people like me.
I'll read every reply, and I'm happy to return the favour on anything WordPress.
