Everyone starts with the feature: “Let’s add an AI assistant.” But the real question is: What decision is the user struggling to make? In high-consideration purchases, users don’t need more options. They need more confidence. So instead of designing: • More filters • Smarter search • A chatbot popup What if we designed: • Intent detection before browsing • Context-aware recommendations • Trust signals embedded in the decision flow • Guidance that reduces hesitation Agentic commerce isn’t about automation. It’s about reducing cognitive load at the exact moment doubt appears. That’s the layer I’m currently exploring in my product work. The future of digital products won’t be interface-heavy.
