Nexus — A Spatial Interface for Life Balance

For this Makeathon, I explored a new interaction model for personal productivity. Productivity has been designed as lists for decades. I wanted to explore what happens when we design it as space.

Instead of dashboards and lists, Nexus places the user at the center of a connected system. Health, Work, Learning and Finance exist as dynamic nodes that evolve and influence one another.

The interface visualizes balance — not just output.

I also integrated an AI layer that observes cross-node patterns and generates calm, system-level insights focused on awareness rather than pressure.

Problem: JMWE was experiencing a large user drop off from Sign up moment to Habit. Users could see the value of the app, but they felt it was not very intuitive for non technical users.

Solution: I redesigned the way users setup automations, allowing them to use an intuitive visual workflow builder. After 12 months, we measured a 32% increase in user adoption.
