THE LAST DELIVERY is a 2-minute 13-second cinematic sci-fi short told as one continuous visual journey.
A battered delivery robot crosses a silent, ruined world carrying one final birthday package. Despite its damaged body and failing battery, it keeps moving until it reaches a solitary house and completes the delivery before collapsing.
The recipient, Eleanor, discovers the package addressed “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELEANOR, FROM DAD.” Inside is a small music box from her childhood. A gift preserved across time by the machine that refused to abandon its purpose. Realizing this, she softly whispers, “Dad…” and then reaches toward the fallen machine: “Thank you.”
I created The Last Delivery to explore memory, purpose, devotion, and the emotional weight of a promise kept across time. The film was created in CapCut Video Studio using Seedance 2.5, with continuation-based generation and visual references used to maintain character, object, and camera continuity throughout the one-take experience.
