When designing a dashboard the storytelling is extremely important, it's what makes the difference between people understanding what they should focus on and knowing what decisions to make.
I decided to split this dashboard into two parts:
The top part starts with a summary on the left and we can immediately identify the issues.
After spotting the high level issue we can dive deeper and see what's causing it.
Then we can then isolate the issue and make a plan on how to fix it.
The bottom part follows a similar structure, we start with a summary and the potential financial impact, then we can drill down to see exactly where the problem lies.
By designing dashboards in logical and story driven manner you help the company save money and your clients will thank you for it.
