Fixwright Home Repair: booked in 60 seconds
THE CLIENT (fictional brief)
Fixwright is a one-person handyman business in Pittsburgh, PA, run by Marty Kovach. No office staff. He's on job sites 7:30–4:00 and only does estimates at the edges of his day (weekday lunch video calls, weekday evenings and Saturday mornings on-site).
His quirks:
• Calls come in while he's up a ladder, so he plays phone tag every night
• Lots of tire-kickers: out of area, "just a ballpark," jobs he doesn't do (electrical, roofing)
• He drives across town to price $150 jobs
• He sends quotes and forgets to follow up, so they go cold
THE PROBLEM I SOLVED
Turning "can you come look at this?" into "you're booked," without Marty answering the phone, and making sure the only estimates on his calendar are worth the drive.
HOW IT WORKS
Customer side:
1. A missed call triggers an instant text from "Marty" with a link (simulated SMS)
2. 60-second, 4-step intake with photo upload
3. AI (Lovable AI) sizes the job (Quick Fix / Half-Day / Project / Not a fit), gives a ballpark from Marty's price table, flags tire-kicker signals, and writes the questions Marty should ask. A rule-based fallback keeps the flow working if AI is unavailable.
4. The customer sees ONLY matching slots: 15-min video estimates for small jobs, 30/60-min on-site visits for bigger ones, respecting travel buffers and a 3-per-evening cap
5. Instant confirmation, reminders, a "Marty's on his way" text, and self-serve reschedule/cancel
Owner side:
• 6:30 AM Morning Brief: the whole day in 30 seconds
• "Needs you" shows only exceptions; everything else runs itself
• Pipeline, lead detail with AI summary + photos, schedule with evening capacity
• Quotes in about a minute, with automatic follow-ups on day 2, 5, and 10, then auto-close
• Out-of-scope and out-of-area leads are politely declined with a referral, with no callback needed
• Hours saved (illustrative, based on editable minutes-per-task assumptions) and a Before/After view
OWNER EFFORT: BEFORE → AFTER
Voicemail + evening callbacks → auto text-back + self-booking
Phone tag to schedule → customer picks a matching slot, confirmed instantly
Driving out to price small jobs → 15-min video estimates
Screening tire-kickers → AI qualification + polite auto-decline
Manually chasing quotes → 3-step automatic follow-up
Guessing the day → one morning brief
BUILT WITH
Lovable (built entirely by prompting), Lovable Cloud (database, auth, storage, backend functions), Lovable AI. SMS/email are simulated in an in-app Outbox so judges can see every message. Nothing is sent, and no paid integrations are needed. In production this would plug into an SMS/email provider.
HONEST NOTES
• Fictional business, customers, and data. All metrics are illustrative.
• Out of scope for this 3-day build: real SMS/phone integration, payments/deposits, calendar sync, route optimization.
