Hero exploration, illustrated editorial format.
Halftone texture doing the emotional work before anything else. Centered composition, restrained layout, nothing competing with the visual.
What I was testing with this direction: can the texture and illustration style communicate the product's feeling before the headline arrives? I think yes, but it requires committing fully. The moment you dilute the texture or clutter the layout, the whole thing loses its character.
Editorial heroes built on illustration are underused. Most people reach for photography. There's a lot of room here.
