Creatives on Contra have earned over $150M and we are just getting started
I’ve now passed $2K+ in earnings on Upwork and completed 23 projects, while maintaining a 100% Job Success Score and Top Rated status.
Over the past year, I’ve worked across Python development, AI/ML, automation, APIs, QA and data-driven projects.
I’m now focusing more on building practical AI solutions that solve real business problems, from AI automation and data processing to LLM applications and intelligent workflows.
30+ pages, 3 weeks, and honestly one of my favorite projects in a while.
I'd been wanting to design something more tech-driven for a long time, and Gryd, a platform turning construction permit data into intelligence for insurers, lenders, and real estate teams, was exactly that.
Wireframes first, then UI across every page, fully responsive, with animation on the key screens, all built inside the brand the client had already set.
I just found out I’m in the top 1% of creatives on Contra.
Really grateful for every project, every client who’s trusted me, and all the work that got me here.
I started my freelance journey here in Contra just ~4 months ago, after a bit of a low point, so I’m especially grateful for how far I’ve come and everything that’s happened since. 🫶
how do you motivate yourself, as an entrepreneur, during the down seasons?
for me, i look back over my work and ensure I remember I have so much to be proud of!
it's been a slow season in my business recently but i am SO proud of many things, including that i'm almost at the next Contra earnings milestone!
what's crazy is, i got a lead from Contra for my biggest retainer check to date in February but they used their own payroll (outside of Contra) so I really have already hit the $50k+ from Contra
but by the end of the year, I will have made $50k ON Contra! 🔥 wow, what a dream come true 🥹
Looking back at past work is one of the best ways to ground yourself when client work slows down. Rebuilding your portfolio with those proud milestones usually sets up the next big wave of projects.
