Concept & Problem
Everyone has a skill someone else needs, but there's no clean, modern, community-first way to exchange them without money. Craigslist is outdated and unsafe-feeling. Freelance platforms are cash-first and transactional. Facebook groups are noisy and not purpose-built.
Barter fills that gap. It's a mobile-first skill-swapping app where local community members trade skills instead of money. A graphic designer swaps a logo for cooking lessons. A fitness coach swaps sessions for guitar lessons. No payment required, just people helping people.
Seasonal Theme
Barter is built around the energy of spring: renewal, fresh starts, and community coming alive again. The app's entire identity is rooted in the idea that spring is when people step outside, reconnect with their neighbourhood, and start new things. The name, the design system (Dawn Sunrise palette: warm coral, fresh leaf green, cream), and the person-first feed all reflect that energy. You're not browsing a marketplace, you're meeting your community.
How It Works
Users sign up and build a profile listing skills they offer and skills they want. They browse a live feed of local skill listings with person-first cards that lead with the human, not the product. When they find a match they tap Swap, send a request, and connect directly with the other person to arrange the exchange off-app via WhatsApp or email. The simplicity is intentional. Barter connects you, then gets out of the way.

Barter directly supports how people live, grow, and spend their time as the season shifts. It encourages people to step outside their professional roles, share what they know, and learn something new, all within their local community. This is lifestyle at its most fundamental: human connection and personal growth without the friction of money.

Verified Badge at $2.99 one-time: A trust signal displayed on the user's profile and every listing they post. Solves the core trust problem in any peer-to-peer platform. Natural first purchase for any serious user.
Boost a Listing at $0.99 per listing: Featured placement at the top of the feed for 7 days. A direct upsell when a listing gets no traction. The motivation to purchase is built into the product experience.
Pro Plan at $4.99 per month: Unlimited active listings plus priority placement in AI-powered skill matching. Targets power users like freelancers, community organisers, and anyone who wants to swap regularly.
The model is free to join, pay to stand out. Revenue is non-intrusive and directly tied to value. Users only pay when they want more visibility or trust signals, not to access the core experience.

Ironically, many people who would benefit most from opportunities like this Bubble x Contra challenge may never discover them simply because they didn’t know they existed, found out too late, or were overwhelmed by scattered information online. OppRadar exists to solve exactly that problem — making opportunities visible, personalized, and actionable before deadlines are missed.
The vision for OppRadar goes beyond a hackathon prototype. With the right support, it can become a trusted platform helping students, builders, creators, and professionals consistently discover opportunities that change careers and lives. Winning this challenge would help kickstart that vision — improving discovery systems, expanding opportunity coverage, and making personalized access to life-changing opportunities more accessible globally.

🌿 Built EcoHabit for the #BloomWithBubble challenge — a mobile app that turns daily eco-habits into a living Bloom Score 🌸 Not a drinking water, do stuff habit, etc! IT IS EcoHabit, making environmental impact.
EcoHabit is a monetization-ready mobile app that helps people build sustainable daily habits by making environmental impact feel emotional and tangible. Most eco apps show cold metrics — kg of CO₂, liters of water. EcoHabit translates those into human stories: "Your actions equal planting 12 trees this month" or "You saved water for 40 people for a day." The result: a Bloom Score — a 0–100 index that rises and falls based on real behavior, recalculated weekly.

⚠️ Note on deployment: I attempted to deploy the app to make it publicly accessible but the deployment was not accepted. I contacted Bubble support regarding the credits and how to apply them, but it wasn't resolved in time. The app is fully functional and viewable in test/preview mode via the link.
