One site, two businesses 🏁
Kart Vlak sells off-road karts in Uruguay. They needed to sell directly to families and recruit distributors across the country, without running two websites.
So we designed and built one store in Next.js that does both:
→ Full-screen video hero with a high-energy look that matches the product
→ Product pages with spec bars and a 360° viewer to see the kart from every angle
→ Checkout with bank transfer or Mercado Pago
→ A step-by-step assembly video built into the site
→ A distributor section with its own meeting scheduler
Your website can be your store and your B2B sales channel at the same time.
Full case study on my profile.
putting the assembly video right in the site is smart, that's a support email waiting to happen otherwise. how did you keep the full-screen video hero light on mobile data? that's the part I always end up fighting with
Exactly, the assembly video saves a ton of "how do I put this together?" messages 😄
For the hero on mobile we serve a separate, shorter and heavily compressed version (WebM/MP4, no audio, around 1–2 MB), with a poster image so something shows instantly while it loads. Desktop...
that's a clean way to do it. the poster image is the part most sites skip, and it's what makes the page feel instant. good call keeping desktop on the bigger file
I built a Shopify store auditor with Base44 to solve a problem I face almost every day as a freelancer.
As a Shopify and Full Stack Developer, I regularly inspect storefronts to identify conversion issues, UX friction, missing HTML tags, SEO problems, and opportunities to improve the shopping experience.
The problem? Doing all of this manually takes time. A lot of time.
So I thought, why not build a tool that does the heavy lifting for me?
That idea became my Base44 Challenge project.
Here’s how it works:
→ Enter your Shopify store URL
→ Choose between AI-powered and rule-based auditing
→ Get an instant report highlighting critical issues and areas for improvement
→ Discover problems across your storefront and identify what needs attention
→ Use AI-powered insights to guide your optimization process
→ Download and share your audit reports with clients, agencies, or your team
The goal is simple: make Shopify store audits faster, more accessible, and less repetitive.
Whether you're an e-commerce brand owner trying to improve conversions, an agency auditing client stores, or a freelancer managing multiple projects, this tool is built around a real problem we face in our daily work.
I built it with Base44, starting with a problem I understand firsthand as a Shopify developer.
Sometimes, the best ideas aren't complicated. They're the ones that solve problems you deal with every day.
