Hero section 2 gets my vote. The headline has its own clear block, while the centered neuron in section 1 competes with the text. I'd keep the energy of 2 and simplify the small copy on the right.

Andromeda is a great name for a study app, gives it some ambition. The "each task you complete illuminates it" hook is fun, did that gamification angle come first or did it get bolted on after the core assignment tracking was working?
