Buzzing Garden Friends: Bringing Early Literacy to Young Readers

Buzzing Garden Friends is a self-published children's book series I write and produce independently, aimed at building early literacy and a love of reading in children aged 3–5. The series began with Barry the Bee Who Couldn't Stop Buzzing and continued with Bella Butterfly Finds Her Colors, both combining simple storytelling with playful language to make reading feel joyful rather than instructional.

I manage every part of this work myself -from writing and illustration coordination to KDP formatting and publishing because I believe accessible, well-made children's books shouldn't depend on institutional backing to exist. This aligns closely with UN SDG 4: Quality Education, particularly around early-childhood literacy access.

I'm currently expanding this work by pitching the series to established children's publishers (including Tulika Publishers and Penguin Random House India's Puffin imprint) to reach a wider audience of young readers.
