I've been using Contra for a while now, mostly as a place to showcase our work.
But lately I've been wondering how people actually use the platform to get hired.
Is it the projects you publish? Your profile?
Being active in the community? Applying to jobs?
We've had clients find us through different places, but Contra still feels a little different to me. There's the portfolio side, the community side, the job side, and I'm not sure how much each one actually matters.
So I'm curious: if you've gotten projects through Contra, what actually worked for you?
I'd especially love to hear from people who've been using it for a while, not just what you're supposed to do, but what actually led to a project.
I’m looking for a freelance talent engineer: a GTM or Clay builder who wants to apply signal-based workflows and AI agents to recruitment instead of sales. The first project is finding strong AI engineers in the Netherlands who don’t show up on LinkedIn, through papers, conference talks and what they build in public. We start with a small paid test project and grow from there.
