Guys, I’ve got a serious question for you.
What do you do when a client accidentally bumps into a company using a logo that looks almost identical to the one you created for them?
One of my clients is at a conference right now and found a company in the same industry, in the same states, with a logo that is like 95% similar to the one I designed.
I have 100+ sketches, full logo development, thought process, iterations and a complete brand identity built on top of that mark. This was a rebranding, and I documented everything. Somehow I did not catch this other company during my research, so it might be a newer brand, idk...
For US based people who know design, law or IP. what would you do in this situation and what are the realistic next steps?
