I found out about the Contra × @Renoise Challenge when it was almost over, so I had very limited time, but still wanted to jump in and test Renoise.
I usually create videos by combining many different AI tools, so exploring a node-based workflow in Renoise felt genuinely fresh and exciting. The final video has plenty of imperfections, because it was made fast and experimentally, so don’t judge it too harshly :)
The story is basically about how I feel (spoiler - I feel surrrealistic😆) in my own neighborhood: I live in one of Kyiv’s more rough-edged districts, but its uncanny, marginal, almost chthonic beauty has completely captured me.

Directing AI with a strict point of view instead of just prompting and accepting whatever comes back is the actual skill gap right now. most people either avoid AI in brand work entirely or let it flatten their taste. doing both, moving faster and still catching poor output, is a harder discipline than either extreme
TOO HOT: PosterCam Lens 🔥
For the Contra × Easy Lens challenge, I decided to take a slightly more serious direction.
With heatwaves becoming increasingly common across Europe and the rest of the world, I created a series of movie posters about global warming. Each poster has a face cut-out, so you can become part of it yourself.
Hopefully, a quick selfie can also spark a conversation about climate change.

TOO HOT is such a good title, and the face cutout selfie mechanic turns a static poster into something people will actually screenshot and share. Which poster took the longest to nail, Meltdown Mode or Wildfire Couture, or did one come together almost by accident?
Brilliant exploration! Love the understated, moody color palette and the subtle atmospheric depth. The texture and grain are handled beautifully, giving it a raw, photographic quality without any jarring visual noise.
