I used to turn down projects when a client wanted a full visual identity but could only afford a logo.
Then I started thinking about it differently.
What if I build the full identity anyway, but only deliver the parts the client has paid for?
The client gets what fits their current budget, while the bigger brand system can remain ready to grow when they're ready for it.
I wrote a short piece about this idea, the thinking behind it, and why I think it could create a more flexible way to approach smaller branding budgets.
Interesting model. One thing I'd wonder about is what happens when the client later needs a color or a typeface that was designed but not delivered yet: do you note those decisions in the logo package so the next phase starts from the same logic?
Created a professional Excel spreadsheet for data entry, data cleaning, formatting, calculations, and sales analysis. The project includes a structured order database, cleaned and standardized data, formulas, summary reports, and visual charts for easy data analysis.
A look at my most recent large-scale UX/UI project: a B2B customer portal for license management, product training, and technical support.
I handled most of the design work, from clarifying requirements and mapping customer journeys to designing the interface and refining it with the client.
A significant part of the work happened before the screens. With limited initial information, I worked closely with the team and developer to piece together requirements and help define workflows that were still taking shape.
The designs shown in the case are the final client-approved screens, developed within strict color palette requirements.
Part of the MVP was built before the project paused. The customer-side design was completed; work on the company and support-side interface had begun.
