I've been working on an AI Customer Support Chatbot for a fictional fashion store, FashionHub, designed to automate customer support while keeping human assistance available when needed. 🛠️ Tech stack: n8n — Workflow automation WhatsApp Cloud API — Customer messaging Groq LLM — AI-powered responses RAG + Google Docs — Knowledge-based answers Gemini Embeddings + Vector Store — Knowledge retrieval Airtable — Conversation and order management Telegram — Human handoff and error alerts ✨ Key features: ✅ AI-powered customer support ✅ Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) ✅ Conversation memory ✅ Order processing with customer confirmation ✅ Human handoff for complex issues ✅ Telegram notifications for support and workflow errors ✅ Webhook-based message processing 💡 My biggest takeaway: Building an AI agent is not just about connecting an LLM. It’s also about designing the workflow around it — handling data, retrieving reliable information, managing conversations, and planning for errors and human intervention. This is a portfolio project built for hands-on learning, and I’m continuing to improve its reliability and production readiness. I’m open to opportunities involving n8n automation, AI agents, API integrations, and workflow implementation. If you’re building AI-powered business workflows, I’d love to connect and learn from your experience!

For the Telegram handoff, I'd save a 'human handling' state in Airtable and check it just before sending a WhatsApp reply. How do you stop the bot from replying over the support person, including responses already in flight when the handoff starts?

Good catch. Right now handoff alerts me on Telegram but doesn't pause the bot yet, so that's my next fix.
Plan: save a "human handling" flag with an expiry in Airtable, check it on every incoming message and again right before the WhatsApp send. The second check catches replies...
