Rebuilding a B2B SaaS site for four different buyer segments
One SaaS product, four different buyers. The marketing site pitched all of them the same way, same benefits, same order, same angle. Each segment had different priorities and different reasons to care. Nobody bounced immediately, but they didn't stick around either.
Mapping the page against user interview notes from four segments showed the real problem: every concern those groups raised was already on the page, just never near the top, and never in their language. It wasn't a content problem. It was a sequencing problem.
I rebuilt it as four dedicated industry pages, one per segment. Same core value, but the story got rebuilt for each one, leading with that segment's specific pain points before the feature list. The page had to prove it understood their business before it asked for anything.
Conversion to book a demo nearly doubled, and prospects started showing up to calls already understanding how the product applied to them, instead of us explaining it from scratch.
Same product, same core value. What changed was the order and the language, and that's what made it land.

Your Manufacturing Website Is Not a Digital Brochure
A manufacturing website shouldn't simply tell people who you are.
It should help potential buyers decide whether you're the right supplier for their project.
That's a very different job.
A traditional digital brochure might focus on:
→ Company history
→ Services
→ Products
→ Facilities
→ Contact information
But a manufacturing buyer is usually asking more practical questions:
→ Can you make what I need?
→ Do you have the right capabilities?
→ Can you meet my technical requirements?
→ Have you worked with companies like mine?
→ Can I trust your quality?
→ How do I request a quote?
That's why I approach manufacturing websites as buyer decision systems, not digital brochures.
The website should connect:
Capabilities → Applications → Technical Information → Proof → RFQ
For example, instead of simply listing “CNC Machining,” a strong capability experience could help a buyer understand:
Processes → Materials → Tolerances → Equipment → Industries → Applications → Case Studies → RFQ
The difference isn't just better UI.
It's better information architecture around the buying decision.
Your manufacturing website shouldn't just say:
“Here we are.”
It should help the buyer reach:
“They can handle my project.”
That's when a website starts working as a sales tool, not just an online brochure.
The RFQ step is the part most B2B redesigns skip — they'll fix the capability pages and still make you email a sales rep to get pricing moving, which puts the friction right back at the exact moment the buyer decided to trust you.
