Today is my birthday. 🎉
Birthdays always make me pause a little. Not just to celebrate, but to look back at what this path has really been about.
The older I get, the more I value clarity.
Clarity in people.
Clarity in decisions.
Clarity in the kind of work worth building.
Over time, I understood that I’m not motivated by noise, complexity, or doing things “just because that’s how it’s always been done.”
I’m motivated by improvement.
By building things that make sense.
By removing friction that slows good people down.
That mindset is a big part of why Robomate exists.
For me, it was never only about automation as technology.
It was about creating a better way to work.
A way with less manual chaos.
Less wasted time.
Less energy lost in broken processes.
I’m proud of what we’re building. And even more grateful for the people around me who are part of this journey.
Another year older.
Still learning.
Still building.
Still believing that the best systems give people more space to do meaningful work. ⚙️

Today: Cerro, a single-origin coffee brand. And after three days of building reveal mechanics, this one has almost no interaction at all.
→ The photograph is the design. An overhead shot of a picker at work, dark glossy foliage, red cherries. My only job was to not get in its way.
→ The light does the layout for me. The image funnels attention to the center, so the type sits in the shadowed edges where it doesn't compete. No scrims, no overlays needed.
→ The only motion is an entrance: the wordmark alone on empty plants, then the picker fades in.

A new hero section every day for 30 days is a brutal pace. Eight days in, is it getting harder to avoid repeating yourself, or is the constraint actually making ideas come faster?

Seeing my work featured is exciting but what matters more to me is why it got there.
I’m focused on building digital experiences that don’t just look good, but make people stop, explore, and remember.
And getting two projects featured within 48 hours feels like a pretty good sign that I’m heading in the right direction.More projects coming soon.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆
Don't get me wrong.
Getting paid well for your work feels good.
But there's something else I've come to appreciate.
Freedom.
Being able to choose what I work on.
Being able to learn something because I'm curious.
Being able to take an idea and turn it into something real.
Being able to work with people from different industries.
Being able to look at something I built months ago and think:
“I know how I'd build this even better today.”
That's growth.
And that's one of the reasons I love working in web development.
The industry changes constantly.
So I have to keep changing too.
New tools.
New platforms.
New problems.
New possibilities.
There's always something else to figure out.
And honestly...
I wouldn't have it any other way.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
For me it is the moment an abstract idea turns into something people can actually use. After years of this, the pull has never really been the money, it is looking back at old work and knowing exactly how I would build it better now. That gap is the clearest proof I am still growing.
