Uncouth lets people get a dermatology consultation without visiting a clinic in person - a patient describes their concern and shares photos, and a clinician reviews the case and responds remotely.
A product like this only works if people trust it enough to share something personal in the first place.
The experience runs from initial intake through the secure exchange of photos and messages between patient and clinician, plus the record-keeping a telehealth service is expected to maintain. None of that lands if the experience feels clinical or cold, so a real part of the work was making a sensitive, sometimes uncomfortable conversation feel approachable rather than transactional.
What I did
- Worked across both the web app and the mobile app.
- Paid particular attention to how sensitive health information and images are stored and transmitted throughout.
- The kind of project where moving carefully matters more than moving fast.

A mobile app design exploration for team communication, built around one problem: threads bury important info, and people end up pinging each other just hoping for a reply, with no clarity on what actually needs attention. I solved it by sorting threads by priority and progress, so the screen only shows what matters right now. I also made the illustrations friendly on purpose, since async communication already feels distant enough without a cold interface making it worse.

A messenger, a browser, and a wallet, built around one idea: that people should own their conversations and their data. The visuals reflect that split, where clean digital color for the system, and hand-drawn touches for the human note passed between two people, still the most private way to say something that matters.
One thing I care about when building interactions like this is accessibility, especially making sure they still work well when you’re not using a mouse.
For this merchant onboarding component, that meant:
- Keyboard navigation with a logical tab order
- Focus management through expand and collapse
- ARIA states for disclosures and dropdown menus
- Clear focus states across light and dark
- Reduced motion when the user prefers it
A lot of this isn’t really obvious from looking at the UI, but it’s part of the build for me.
Reduced motion support is the one people forget most, and it's invisible in the UI but still part of the build, that framing is spot on. Most non-technical clients would never think to ask for any of this. Do you have a go-to way of testing focus order beyond just tabbing through manually?
