From being a kid watching LeBron James in 2005 to creating an official NBA Asia artwork celebrating his legacy. 👑
I was in Grade 4 when I first started watching LeBron. More than two decades later, I had the opportunity to create an artwork honoring his journey through basketball, from Cleveland to Miami, Los Angeles, and his next chapter in Philadelphia.
For this piece, I wanted to capture more than just the different jerseys and eras. Each version of LeBron represents a different chapter in his legacy, and the details throughout the composition help bring those stories together.
Seeing the artwork shared by NBA Philippines and NBA Australia was already surreal. Then, seeing the LeBron James Family Foundation show love to the piece made the moment even more special.
As an artist, getting to create work around someone who has inspired you since childhood is something you never take for granted.
A full-circle moment I’ll always be grateful for. 🏀

one of the most interesting parts of this project has been figuring out how to turn an abstract concept into something people can actually see and feel.
from the typography to the illustrations and overall visual language, every element is an opportunity to give the brand more personality and make it feel like its own world.
still exploring, but i’m really enjoying where this is going.
Made to be remembered.
