Just finished building Frontpage, a customizable content aggregator that brings RSS and Atom feeds into a single reading dashboard.
Features include:
• Feed subscriptions and categorization • Search across content sources • Read/unread tracking • Bookmarks • Guest mode with curated content • Responsive dashboard experience
What made this project interesting wasn't just the implementation.
There was no Figma file and no predefined UI. I had to make product decisions around onboarding, content discovery, information hierarchy, and the overall reading experience.
A few things I worked through during development:
Designing a dashboard that balances information density with readability
Structuring reusable React components
Handling feed data and content organization
Thinking beyond screens and focusing on user experience
This project reminded me that building products is more than writing code. It's about making decisions when there isn't a clear answer.
