What happens after you survive the Sirens?
For the FLORA × The Met Museum Challenge, I chose Raoul Dufy’s Sirens (Les Sirènes) as my starting point.
Instead of recreating the artwork, I wanted to imagine the story that could exist beyond it.
Dufy gave us the Sirens.
I imagined the moment after their song.
A ship moves through a silent, unfamiliar sea. The crew is no longer listening. Some have survived, some have fallen, and the Sirens remain beneath the surface — no longer simply mythical creatures, but witnesses to what their song has left behind.
The final scene becomes a meditation on temptation, survival, memory, and the price of hearing something beautiful that was never meant to be heard.
I used the visual language of Dufy’s Sirens as my historical anchor, then expanded it into an entirely new cinematic world through FLORA — developing the environment, characters, atmosphere, underwater world, and narrative around the original artwork.
One artwork became a story.
One myth became a new world.
The song ended — but the story didn't.

What happens after you survive the Sirens?
For the FLORA × The Met Museum Challenge, I started with Raoul Dufy’s Sirens (Les Sirènes) from 1910.
Rather than recreate the artwork, I imagined what happens after the song ends.
A silent ship. A crew that barely survived. Sirens beneath the water. And a sea carrying the memory of everyone who listened.
I used Dufy’s work as the historical spark and built an original cinematic narrative around it in FLORA — transforming a single museum artwork into an entire world.

SIX SKIES explores what happens when details from museum objects are no longer confined to the scale in which we usually encounter them.
I selected six Open Access works from The Met, each carrying a distinct ornamental language from a different culture, and reimagined their patterns at architectural scale.
Instead of remaining on a ceramic object, stained-glass window, tile, jar, or dish, each ornament temporarily takes over the same ceiling inside The Met.
I imagined the ceiling as a projection or holographic installation: one architectural space capable of revealing different histories through light, pattern, and scale.

A painting that survived on the one wall still standing, after the house around it was destroyed. The storm it once depicted became real smoke, rising from the same horizon behind it — same place, same hills, same water, but the calm is gone.
I didn't age the painting forward or backward in time. I placed it somewhere that exists in parallel to where most of us are sitting right now — a place where this kind of stillness has been replaced by something else entirely.

Built on FLORA, starting from a static image of the painting, then building the surrounding wall and environment through iterative generation and manual refinement, before animating the final camera move outward.
