My submission for Config Makeathon by @Figma — The Literary Aviary is an interactive, virtual birdwatching experience that helps you discover inspiring connections between literature, nature, and culture, across history and geography. It's a collaborative collection, so anyone who encounters a bird sighting in their reading adventures can submit their quotes to be added to the Aviary! 🐦‍⬛ This project is based on a set of infographic/dataviz posters I created years ago, which I brought to life using Figma Make + Supabase. I had a very particular vision for the look and feel — I wanted to evoke the experience of looking through a vintage field guide while on a walk — so it was a lot of back and forth in the Figma Make chat!!
