How I Used AI to Help a Teacher Grade 200 Exam Papers in a less than 30 minutes
Last weekend, a friend of mine who teaches in a secondary school told me they had 200 exam papers to mark and no time to do it.
My Solution;
Over the weekend, I built a simple Flutter app powered by Google’s Gemini Vision AI.
Here’s what it does
The teacher takes a photo of a student’s answer sheet.
The app sends the image and correct answers to Gemini.
The AI reads the image, identifies the student’s chosen answers, compares them to the correct key, and calculates the score.
The result comes back in a simple format like:
10/17, 63%
It takes seconds, not minutes.
No scanners. No special hardware. Just AI doing what it does best, assisting humans.
