🌳 THE LAST TREE
A cinematic AI short film that follows humanity's apparent recovery from climate change, beginning with the preservation of the last tree and ending with an unexpected twist that redefines the entire journey. I created the film in Renoise by generating a sequence of cinematic environmental scenes, then combining them with narrative subtitles and visual storytelling to build suspense and deliver the final reveal.

The dust behind a motorcycle on a dirt road is the same dust that drifts across Mars and maybe the same dust we're all made of.
I've never edited a video in my life. I build software for a living. But I found Renoise, saw this challenge, and as someone who can't resist one, I treated it the only way I knew how: as a problem to solve, shot by shot. 17 scenes, one storyboard, a lot of trial and error from a cornfield on Earth to the red plains of Mars.
I didn't know how to make a film. So I just kept asking: what does this feel like? And chased that frame by frame.
