What if a Gen AI tool let you see what’s happening behind the process?
This weekend I had the chance to try out ComfyUI.
I expected the usual node-based canvas, but the tool feels more like visual programming. Instead of hiding most of the process behind a simple UI, it exposes the workflow itself.
And that’s what makes ComfyUI both interesting and intimidating.
I’m still at the early stage of figuring out this tool, but I can see it being especially useful for creatives who want precise control over their AI workflows and the ability to build their own pipelines.

Have you tried ComfyUI before?
I’ve been curious about ComfyUI too. The visual programming side makes it feel intimidating at first, but also really powerful once it clicks.
I've poked at ComfyUI a bit and the exposed node graph is exactly what makes it powerful and hard to onboard into at the same time. Once you understand what each node is actually doing though, it's a lot easier to debug than a black box UI when an output goes wrong.

That extra complexity would pay off for me when I need to repeat the same image process. Changing one node and seeing exactly what it affects sounds better than retrying a prompt blind.

The Challenge
Work can quickly become fragmented and overwhelming. Constant tasks, notifications, and context switching often leave users feeling mentally overloaded and out of control.
The video needed to communicate that tension in a short amount of time, while clearly demonstrating how the app supports task organization, work planning, and mental wellbeing.
Creative Direction
The film uses a 3D keyboard as a visual metaphor for work-related pressure.
At the beginning, keycaps bounce, pile up, and move in irregular rhythms to create a sense of chaos, tension, and information overload. The visual then shifts into app UI animations and feature demonstrations, using a calmer and more structured motion language to create a strong contrast.
This transition from disorder to clarity helps the audience feel the app’s value rather than simply being told about it.
Solution
Used bouncing, shifting, and densely paced keycap movements to visualize workplace pressure and information overload
Integrated app UI into 3D scenes and transitions, making feature demonstrations part of the story
Built an emotional progression from chaos to clarity through pacing, composition, and motion curves
Created sound design to strengthen the tactile quality of the keyboard, rhythmic tension, and UI feedback

I think AI changes HOW we create, but not WHY we create. The tools are evolving incredibly fast, but taste, creative direction and storytelling still come from people. That’s what makes the difference for me.
I work with AI visual storytelling, and I’ve realized that the prompt is only a small part of the process. The real work is building a concept, defining the mood, selecting the strongest visuals and shaping a coherent story. AI speeds up execution, but creative vision is still human.
