Horizon is an ambient time-guessing game crafted for the Config Makeathon using Figma Make.
The idea sparked from a simple yet powerful question: why do most trivia and web games thrive on high stress, ticking clocks, and hard facts?
I yearned to create something different, a relaxing experience where intuition takes the lead, not memory. In Horizon, players are given a city name and a stunning full-screen colour gradient that captures the sky at that moment in that place.
Their challenge is to guess the exact local time by tuning a dial, relying solely on the atmosphere trying to feel whether the colours evoke a quiet pre-dawn purple, a warm golden sunset, or the deep blue of midnight. Each time a player makes a guess, the game connects to live weather and timezone data to show the true time and evaluate their accuracy, seamlessly shifting the background to mirror the reality.

Thank you, I’m glad you like it. The background music is a track called 'Thaumazein' from the anime Orb: On the Movements of the Earth.
