I’ve found clients appreciate something closer to the final product as they might find it difficult to visualise concepts. More realistic mockups also help them spot what isn’t working for them early on.

The realistic version gives clients a clearer sense of the final product and makes the concept easier to evaluate.

Realistic in most cases. That way you and the client get a clear image of how the product will look after its produced, plus I think its easier to decide what stays and what goes
