PlayHunch takes something sports fans already do - guessing the final score, calling who scores next - and turns it into a game that clubs in the UK run for their supporters.
Clubs use it to stay engaged with fans between matches and reward the ones who follow closest, across the web and dedicated iOS and Android apps.
A fan joins a prediction game tied to a real fixture or a whole season, locks in their picks before kickoff, and follows a live leaderboard as results come in - light, recurring engagement that keeps people coming back long after the final whistle. Club staff get a dashboard to spin up new games, tune the scoring rules, and see how their fanbase is engaging, with no developer in the loop.
What I did: - Worked across the full product: the web app, and the backend that updates predictions and leaderboards the moment match events land. - Owned a large share of the admin tooling clubs depend on day to day - the part that decides whether a non-technical club employee can run a game on their own. - Real-time result ingestion and leaderboard recalculation; one API layer shared across web and mobile.
