After managing literary journals in my MFA program at Naropa University, I founded my own online publication about indie music and culture as a fun side project when I was working in marketing and advertising in Chicago. I called it Houseshow, inspired by the experiences I was having seeing some truly excellent rock bands play in living rooms and dive bars around the city.
My piece on Father John Misty, aka Josh Tillman, and his album "God's Favorite Customer" is the most-read piece from my magazine.
