My comfort zone has exotic pets, excellent security, and absolutely no intention of letting me leave.
For #1000WaysToCCW, I imagined a creator so comfortable inside his own fantasy that getting to CapCut World LA becomes an escape movie. CapCut gave me the chance to put myself inside the kind of scenes I’ve loved watching in my favorite movies—and give them my own absurd twist. This time, I wasn’t watching the adventure. I was the guy trying to survive it, with a very unconventional connection to Los Angeles. No way? My way.
Underneath the chaos is something personal: sharing your imagination can be scarier than anything living inside it.
I created a full pipeline with CapCut. I explored its tools for AI asset and video generation, sound design, graphics, editing, and color grading, all inside, bringing the film together in CapCut Video Studio.
Stressa here! For my entry I wanted to make a little cinematic adventure about: Stressella goes to CapCut World LA!
So, she books a free trial with a rather shady 100-year-old teleportal agent. Of course the old lady mistakes her for Cinderella and sends her through the wrong portal. Stressella ends up at a victorian ball in Cinderella universe, running away before she even gets to dance with Prince Charming. Luckily, her Fairy Godmother shows up and gives her a star to travel through space and time to LA.
I chose a star because I wanted her to look like a fallen star landing right in front of the Audrey Irmas Pavilion for CapCut World LA. I thought it'd be a fun way to turn a simple trip to LA into a chaotic fairytale adventure. Honestly wish I had another 30 seconds to let Stressella meet Prince Charming. Just imagined their ridiculous little banter 😭
This was genuinely so much fun to make, and I hope you have as much fun watching it as I did creating it!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to join this challenge and bring this little story to life. Wishing everyone the best of luck, and can't wait to see what everyone has created! 🤞😋
Hiii! I joined the Contra x CapCut challenge, having never used CapCut AI before. I’d only ever edited videos manually.
After three days of struggling with prompts, inconsistent characters, and scenes that absolutely refused to cooperate, I finally found my story.
I'm working at my desk with my dogs when an alien crashes into my life and invites me to LA. We travel across the universe, I get beamed onto a stage, and for a moment, I'm living the dream.
Then I turn into an alien.
And get kicked out because NO ALIENS ALLOWED.
All that intergalactic travel to technically make it to LA. 😂
Hello, World. This video is kind of personal. I stopped making videos ten years ago. I was doing countless corporate gigs, and the whole thing started to feel tedious and soulless. I always wanted to tell stories; that's why I studied filmmaking. Discovering generative AI felt like making my first short film, and playing with it since then has opened up a world of possibilities.
So the story references different stages. The macaw is the public that's apprehensive about AI and doesn't want anything to change. The raccoon is that moment of discovery. The sacred chamber of gods is what I feel right now: both awe and fear of what AI can do, or could become. And being propelled to LA, crash-landing in the mecca of filmmaking, is the cherry on top.
Why a mango tree? We have a macaw at home, and she is so protective of her mango tree. I don't think AI could ever evoke how crazy and loud she screams when an unknown person or animal gets close to it.
Making each animal stand for a stage of how you feel about AI is what turns a challenge entry into a short film. The audience follows feelings, not tools. The macaw is the strongest choice because it's real: a sound and a habit you know from home that no prompt would invent. In...
