I revisited a character/avatar selector I originally designed for Posterity and used Rive's data binding capabilities to create dynamic skin tone switching across all characters. Each avatar can cycle through 8 different skin tone options, and I wired up custom hex code input so users can dial in any color value they want. The data binding approach meant I could update colors across all character elements simultaneously without manually creating every variation. I also added interactive hover states where characters track your cursor- Watching these characters come to life with personality was so rewarding!
