vibe coding is great... until it costs you your entire database
client came to me with a hotel booking site developed on #lovable. wanted a migration
i asked for the #supabase credentials and repo access. they shared what they had
prob 1... supabase projects were all inactive. supabase pauses databases after 7 days of no activity. their "developer" never told them this
prob 2... the credentials they had were not even connected to the live site someone had linked a random supabase project to lovable and walked away
i flagged everything>> explained the risk clearly>> advised them not to let the lovable subscription lapse before we sorted the database situation
they didn't listen>> subscription ended >> database gone
not paused --> gone
everything... bookings, users, hotel data -- vanished because nobody who actually understood the stack was ever involved
this is the part vibe coding does not show you in the demo
UI looks clean... prototype feels real. but nobody told you about inactive database conditions, environment variable management or what happens when the platform subscription that was secretly holding everything together disappears
i am not against AI assisted development. i use it every day
but there is a difference between using AI as a tool and handing your production business over to a prompt
If you are building something real... a booking platform, a client portal, an ecommerce store... get an experienced developer involved before you go live. not after the database disappears
conversation costs nothing ... lesson costs everything

Just wrapped a SaaS landing page for an AI infrastructure platform — and this one was a different kind of challenge.
The product is genuinely complex. Neural network deployment, smart model routing, enterprise security, cost analytics. The kind of thing that takes 20 minutes to explain in a call — but needs to land in 10 seconds on a page.
The brief wasn't "make it look cool." It was: get skeptical engineers and technical founders to stop scrolling, understand what this does, and want to try it.
So we built the page around how that buyer actually thinks. Credibility before features. Show the product working, don't just describe it. Answer the "how long does setup take" question before they have to ask. Put social proof right before pricing, where doubt is loudest.
Every section has a job. Together they move a visitor from "what is this" to "let's talk" without a single wasted scroll.

First time working on a Claude Code site as a Framer dev. The AI did a solid job building it but iterating on design through prompts vs. a visual canvas is a completely different experience. Each tool has its lane.
@Framer is the goat here.
I use Claude Code daily, it's not the tool, it's the workflow. Framer's speed for design work is just unmatched.
