@Envato does the #envatochallenge 's "one month free access to Envato's Plus Plan" require a credit card.
Would ask on the announcements themselves but replies are turned off for some reason.
I built Tidewater Tattoo & Piercing's booking system for @Lovable's small business challenge. 🌊
Meet Mara, a solo tattoo artist in Astoria, OR. She's booked out 3 weeks, busy Thu-Sat, and answers "can I book?" DMs at midnight. She loses hours to back-and-forth texting, and no-shows eat her schedule.
Now a late-night DM becomes a confirmed booking while she sleeps:
✅ Customers see only real open slots (her hours and 15-min buffers are built in)
✅ Email verification code keeps out fake bookings
✅ Instant confirmation, plus a calendar file
✅ Reschedule or cancel from a private link, no DMs needed
✅ Custom pieces go to Mara as a one-tap approval request
✅ Every booking auto-creates a Google Calendar event with a 10-min alarm
✅ All emails send automatically from her Gmail
✅ Double-booking is blocked at the database level
Mara's only job: open her dashboard in the morning and glance at the day.
Problem solved: turning a midnight "can I book?" into a confirmed booking with zero back-and-forth.
Most hair appointments are set on phone and written down in books.
At least here in Zambia as far as I know.
So to solve it, I started a beauty parlor business.
I built a website for it, an Instagram page, created an email account and set up a booking system.
A customer visits the website, checks around to see customer reviews, sees wall of love (posts from Instagram of customers after their hair was done) and decides to book an appointment.
They can proceed to book something through the /book link and they get a confirmation link + confirmation emails. They also get a reminder on the actual day via email and if they decide to reschedule they also get notified.
The customer now goes from landing page - booking - confirmation without any interaction with the solo business owner.
