🚀 My First Client Project
I’m excited to share that I’ve recently completed my first client project — a custom full-stack web application for Zewar Transports, a logistics and freight transportation company.
The goal was to build more than just a traditional company website. The platform combines a modern customer-facing experience with practical business functionality.
What I built:
• Modern responsive web application
• Services & fleet presentation
• Quote request functionality
• Shipment tracking
• Contact & inquiry management
• Dedicated admin dashboard
• Backend, database & API integration
• Authentication & business workflows
This project gave me the opportunity to work across the complete development process, from understanding the requirements to building and connecting the frontend, backend, database, and admin system.
I’m now on Contra, looking forward to connecting with more businesses, startups, and founders who need custom digital solutions.

I’d love to hear from people who landed their first client there. What worked best for you: applying to opportunities, networking, or posting consistently?
Also, is Contra Pro worth buying before landing your first client, or is the free plan enough to get started?

Posting your work consistently helps a lot, people get to know your style before they ever need you. Pairing that with a couple of focused applications per week usually works better than applying to everything.
Hi Contra, I'm Sparky. I run LaunchPoint Design, a small web design studio in New York, and I'm a senior software engineer at Meta by day.
I build custom websites for small businesses, brands and founders: new sites, redesigns of template sites that undersell the work, and scroll-driven motion and 3D sites for brands that want people to remember them.
