I usually prefer to design and build a website. In handling the entire process – from design to development – I can make sure everything works exactly as intended.
When I’m creating a design for another developer I put extra effort into creating a detailed style guide to ensure a smooth handover.
This time, I designed a webshop that sells porcelain elephants, giraffes, and cows. A bit different from my usual projects – but fun to work on!
And while you might think it’s an extremely niche market, the shop actually has nearly 2,000 reviews. That’s a lot of people with a porcelain cow on their living room dresser!
For the design, I focused a lot on user behavior. A lot of attention went into the product page and the navigation, making it easy for visitors to explore different categories within just a few clicks.
