Before cinema, there was Eadweard Muybridge.
In 1878 he photographed a galloping horse in sequence and proved that all four hooves leave the ground. His studies, collected in Animal Locomotion (1887), split motion into frames and helped pave the way for the moving image.
I built a Recraft V4 Style from his public-domain plates and asked: what if his camera had kept rolling into the future?

Roaring Tech: 1920s Elegance Meets the Modern Electric Commute
This video project bridges a century of style by translating elite 1920s French fashion illustrations (Gazette du Bon Ton) into a custom Recraft V4 Style. By rendering two chic flappers navigating a modern electric scooter in authentic Art Deco ink and sepia tones, the piece creates a humorous and striking contrast between historical elegance and modern urban life. The video highlights how the playful, fast-paced spirit of the Roaring Twenties mirrors our own tech-driven commutes today.
200 years ago, local artists painted the everyday people of the subcontinent: barbers, porters, chai wallas, knife sharpeners. Each one got a portrait, flat colours, a fancy border, total respect.
So I asked: what if those same painters time travelled to Lahore today?
I found their work in the Wellcome Collection’s public domain archive, trained a Recraft Style on it, and sent it to paint the new pesha of my city.
