I worked as a Senior Software Developer on Winfakt, a commercial accounting and POS software platform developed by Winfakt/SOCS in Belgium, from October 2010 to July 2024.
I initially worked on the desktop-based Winfakt Classic application using Visual xHarbour/Visual Harbour, Microsoft C++ and PostgreSQL, where I designed and developed the Report Designer component.
As Winfakt evolved into an online platform, I developed data import/export capabilities between Winfakt Classic and Winfakt Online, and built CSV/Excel import and export tools using JavaScript and Retool.
I worked on the product for nearly 14 years, contributing to both its desktop and online ecosystem. My work covered application development, reporting, data integration, automation and business software.
My work and contribution are supported by a recommendation letter from Patrick Mast, CEO of Winfakt/SOCS, who described me as a highly recommended software developer and contractor and highlighted my attention to detail, communication skills, innovative ideas and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

How do you handle your component architecture?
Here was my approach on a five-step insurance purchase form.
The form has two paths through it. A person fills in different things than a company does. Someone already logged in skips a step. One path gets a document upload that the other never sees.
The easy version is to build the fields for each step as you get to them. I have done that before. By the second change request you have five sets of nearly identical fields and no way to change one without checking the other four.
So I wrote one input instead. You tell it what kind of thing it is and it does the rest. Three kinds covered the whole form: a fixed list of options, a list that comes from the backend like car makes, and pairs of a value and a label.
Every step is then just a list of which fields it needs. And the decision about who sees what does not sit in the inputs at all. It sits above them, in one place. An input never knows which path the user is on.
The part that told me it was right: the whole thing can be lifted into the insurance back office later without rewriting it, because nothing inside it knows what site it is on.

I designed a Business Intelligence and financial reporting solution that transforms scattered data from multiple sources into centralized, validated, and decision-ready information.
The solution automates the complete reporting workflow: connecting and consolidating data, cleaning and standardizing information, applying business rules, building a structured data model, calculating financial KPIs, and generating executive dashboards and recurring reports.
Instead of manually combining spreadsheets and preparing reports every reporting period, the workflow creates a repeatable data pipeline that reduces manual work while improving consistency, traceability, and visibility.
