Galactic Whac-A-Mole is a high-energy, space-themed arcade game built with React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. It renders a cosmic retro arcade cabinet where players "whack" mental stress & focus entities — Anger, Anxiety, Brain Fog, Burn-Out, Distracted, Overthinking, Pressure, Sleep Deprivation, and Stress — in real-time, backed by a Node.js server with a MongoDB database for persistent storage of scores, tickets, and player progress.

Cosmic Characters & Target Types: 9 animated mind-state characters spawn as Standard (+100 pts), Golden (+500 pts), Bomb (-300 pts), Helmet (+250 pts), Freeze (+3s), and Fever (+300 pts) targets, each with unique glows and behaviors.
Arcade Economy & Customization: Earn tickets based on performance, unlock and equip custom mallets with distinct multipliers and effects, and set a personalized pilot callsign — all saved to MongoDB via the Node.js backend.
Real-Time Gameplay & Stats: 60-second timed missions with a live HUD tracking score, combo multipliers, accuracy, and time remaining, plus floating hit/score popups.
Leaderboards & Mission Recaps: Detailed end-of-round summaries and a persistent leaderboard tracking pilot rankings, accuracy, and max combos across games.
Visuals & Audio Engine: Retro arcade cabinet aesthetic with neon glassmorphism, dynamic starfield particle backgrounds, and a custom Web Audio API sound engine for whacks, explosions, and victory soundscapes.
