The two most valuable words in marketing: “even if.”
Most copy tries to make the product sound better.
Add an adjective. Make the promise bigger.
The copy that actually works makes the reader feel eligible.
Watch:
“The AI tool that answers any question.”
“The AI tool that answers any question — even if you’ve never used one before.”
Same product. Same promise.
The second one removes the reason that person was about to scroll.
Almost nobody scrolls past because the promise was too small.
They scroll because they quietly decided it wouldn’t work for them.
That’s the entire job of the second half of an ad.
The hook handles the gut.
Everything after it has to get past the brain — and the brain is asking one question:
Would this work for me, specifically?
That question comes in six versions:
1. How long until I see something?
Be precise. “30 days” beats “fast.” And “30 days” vs. “4 weeks” won’t perform the same — test both.
2. Does it work for someone like me?
Body type, age, skin type, budget, country. Say it out loud.
3. How much effort is this?
“15 minutes, twice a week” beats “easy” every time.
4. How hard is it to use?
Huge with older audiences. Almost always ignored.
5. Do you ship here, and what will it cost me?
Not just shipping — whether the thing is even usable where they live.
6. Has this been around?
Matters most above $200, and for anything that takes months to show results.
Don’t answer these one by one like an FAQ.
Fold them into the claim, so the objection is handled before it finishes forming.
One rule to keep alongside it: if you can say it, show it.
A sentence about the result is weaker than three seconds of the result.
Product in use beats product on white.
