For the #ConfigMakeathon, I built Rollroom 🎲
A desktop-only backgammon web app where you can create a room, share one link, play live 1v1, chat in real time, use voice commands, or play against a bot.
I built it with Figma Make, using Figma’s AI workflow to move from interface design to a working interactive prototype.
The idea: make a classic board game instantly playable online, without accounts, setup, or friction.

Building a fully working 1v1 backgammon app with voice commands and bot mode using Figma Make is a seriously ambitious scope. The no-account, no-friction angle is a smart design choice too.

Try to design it the old school way, and then use AI to build it into a working prototype/product. Will most likely take more time doing what you enjoy (if you enjoy designing), less time back and forth prompting to fix things (and burn credits).

Just starting my Config Makeathon entry, but before I touch a single frame in Figma or begin prompting in Figma Make, I needed to do some research.
I am building CookieDraft, an interactive drawing, planning, and spec tool for cottage cookie makers! This means I've spent way too much time developing a rich description for the flow mechanics of royal icing and how to calculate icing volume using the surface-area-to-volume ratio for each cookie shape.
I cannot be helped, my love for baking and design are comingling. I'm now in deep for the simple love of the game.
Off to find some inspiration! Meaning, I cannot wait to see all those cookie designs on Pinterest.

opened a blank doc this morning for the Config Makeathon.
wrote down every idea that came to mind.
then started crossing them out.
too small. too obvious. already exists. nobody cares.
got to one that made me stop.
it's a problem hundreds of millions of people deal with. every single day. and nobody has ever built something beautiful for it. not once.
spent the rest of today figuring out how it should feel before i write a single line of code. warm. quiet. editorial. the opposite of what every other app in this space looks like.
no screens yet. just a direction.
