Reimagining CapCut as a dating app: CapCut Match 💗🎬
Direction A: CapCut as a Different Industry
Concept:
I reimagined CapCut as a dating app, but not the usual kind that only uses photos and short bios. CapCut Match is about letting people show who they are through video, creativity, and shared moments.
Users can create video profile templates, view creative match cards, send aesthetic date invites, and connect through in-app video calls. After that, matches can turn their moments into editable memories, like recaps, couple edits, and shared visual stories.
The visual identity uses blush pink, pale lilac, soft white, and charcoal for a romantic and modern feel. The logo combines CapCut’s editing/play language with a heart to represent creativity and connection.

I gave a real local barbershop a cinematic digital glow-up. ✂️
For the @Base44 #GiveItAGlow Challenge, I chose Barbearia Sena — a real barbershop located in a nearby city here in Brazil.
The before:
Their existing website had the essential business information, services, pricing and contact details, but the digital experience no longer reflected the level of craftsmanship, identity and atmosphere behind the brand.
The after:
I rebuilt their digital presence from the ground up using Base44, transforming it into a dark, cinematic and premium experience inspired by the precision and ritual of traditional barbering.
I designed a new multi-page experience focused on services and pricing, online booking, barber presentation, training and courses, and gift cards.
The hero experience uses cinematic storytelling built around macro shots of scissors, clippers, straight razors, smoke and warm amber lighting — turning the tools of the craft into part of the brand experience.
The automation:
I created a booking flow designed to reduce manual scheduling and make it easier for customers to choose a service, barber, date and time.
My goal wasn't just to make the website look better.
It was to transform a simple online presence into an experience worthy of the craft behind the business.

For this challenge I wanted to redo a salon that I have a personal connection to. They've needed a revamped site for quite some time and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to turn their basic Wix page into something more. For this challenge we had 2 goals in mind: make the booking CTAs easier to find and streamline a system that uses multiple booking platforms so its easier for the client. We used AI to tag the imagery in the artists' portfolios so users could find the look they want and book it by tags. They could also decided if they wanted to see a specific stylist by their profile/portfolio or book by first available and the dynamic calendar would adjust for the client's preferences. We also created a set of custom APIs that will allow the clients to book on the site and then transfer that to the stylists' booking apps letting each user keep their independent systems while keeping users on the site. For those still looking for a stylist, the AI chatbot will help them find the right stylist for them based on what they're looking for, whether it be scheduling, service or personality. I also had base44 add a narration track to see how versatile it could be.
